Operations Assistant
Job Description: The Operations Assistant for Resource Management, Inc. (RMI) works closely with the Operations Manager to provide efficient operational and transportation services for the distribution of bulk soil products throughout New England and eastern New York. The Operations Assistant will work out of RMI’s Holderness, New Hampshire office. Job duties will include: oversight of fleet equipment including tractor trailers, construction equipment and light vehicles; delivery dispatch; management of operations at mixing/screening sites; customer communications and completion of all required paperwork; back up to the Operations Manager for supervision of drivers and contract drivers for delivery dispatch. Duties will be performed in a manner that ensures safe operations, maximizes efficiency, and contains costs for RMI while maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards that impact RMI’s operations or product line. Required Education/Experience: Minimum of two years post-secondary education with emphasis in business or agriculture along with a minimum of three to five years work experience in distribution and/or agriculture or residuals management (wood ash, biosolids and short paper fiber). Experience operating agricultural and construction equipment. Large commercial vehicle experience is also desirable. Must possess CDL. Applicants with an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Title: Agronomist / Nutrient Manager
Job Description: The Staff Agronomist (SA) for Resource Management, Inc. (RMI) shall manage the agronomic, soil, and crop plans associated with the use of alternative fertilizers and soil amendments on farms, turf, and disturbed soil projects, including gravel pit reclamations. Nutrient management planning and on-farm consulting in accordance with the regulatory framework associated with residuals including wood ash, biosolids and other industrial by-products. Duties will be performed in a manner to maximize efficiency and contain costs for RMI while maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards. This position is based out of Holderness, New Hampshire, but employee shall be available for assignments throughout all of New England and eastern New York. Required Education/Experience: Masters Degree in Agronomy, Farm Management, Soils, Land Management or related field and 5 years experience in environmental, agricultural, soil science, or agriculture related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education. Certification as CCA or TSP required. Self-motivation, organizational and strong communication skills which include detailed recordkeeping of procedures and data are essential. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Supervise agronomy activities including land application and soil preparation • Provide Nutrient Management Services • Prepare Utilization Plans for all products and services • Assist with regulatory compliance management and permit preparation • Provide technical support to sales team • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of software products (Word, Excel) capable with general office equipment and digital equipment (cell phones, cameras, etc) • Keeps detailed records of procedures and research data • Excellent written and oral communications skills • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills • Operate conventional farm or construction equipment • Capable of solving logistical scheduling and equipment issues • Professional attitude and ability to perform in a progressive, fast paced environment • Team-oriented to support projects; and excels at working independently and managing multiple responsibilities Compensation: The Staff Agronomist will receive a competitive salary commensurate with established skills and experience.
